RESEARCH & ANALYSIS As part of my research for my A level music video I'll be analysing the context behind scenes in music videos. How camera angles, lighting, special effects, props, rule of thirds etc are used to make the viewers more invested in the music video emotionally and literally. CAMERA MOVEMENTS 1. Static Shot: • Camera remains still, no movement • Emphasizes subject's emotions, reactions, or details 2. Pan: • Horizontal movement, left to right or right to left • Follows subject, captures wide scenes, or establishes setting 3. Tilt: • Vertical movement, up or down • Emphasizes height, power dynamics, or dramatic effect 4. Dolly: • Camera moves towards or away from subject • Creates depth, emphasizes emotions, or builds tension 5.
