CCR QUESTIONS  (Image generated by ai) REFLECTING ON MY A LEVEL PRODUCTION WORK  In my music video I decided to represent individuals who had a troubled childhood and how it takes time and effort to heal child hood wounds and if not healed they affect a person later on in their life. My music video starts with a scared child who’s trying to avoid her problems by listening to music hoping the problem just goes away , representing the emotional trauma and distress caused on a child by a stressful environment in the same scene the older version of the character tries to comfort her younger version but fails because the younger version was in her head representing that she never got over her stressful childhood and is still unhealed and unable to comfort her younger self , representing individuals that avoid their problems all their life or still carry unhealed wounds that end up effecting their relationships later on in life they end up holding on to resentment and harming themse...

OLDER BY SASHA ALEX SLOAN  MAIN VIDEO  I wanted my main video to be linked with the preliminaries so it would look like one story / or parts of someones life , I kept my character (not actor ) and my color scheme the same through out the preliminaries and main music video . My preliminaries build up to the main video almost acting like trailers or small episodes.  ABOUT THE SONG   The song "Older" by Sasha is song that delves into the complexities of growing up and nostalgia. the lyrics show the desire of not growing up and to keep enjoying the simplicities and innocence of the youth. While accepting that time keeps moving and growing up and facing the harsh realities of life is inevitable. the song reminds you of your childhood memories happy and sad. DIGITAL PACKAGING CD CD Cover  I wanted the cd packaging to be very minimal so to represent the older version of the girl mature, minimal and brown so it would match the outfit the older character was wearing I also added brown cloth in the cover to match the hijab the older character was wearing.  CD  I wanted the cd itself to represent the child character so I decided to put a happy picture of the child playing on the cd successfully representing the older and younger version of my character in the cd.  CD cover inside  CD cover outside  I took inspiration from the posters I made to make the covers and CD CD PROCESS   I first made a blank cover and cd that I could draw over. I used procreate to make the cd. POST PRODUCTION

EDITING  I decided that since I have been editing videos for my social media for years I could edit this music video easily too. I used the app  "in shot" to edit my music video.    (Image was generated by ai) ASSEMBLING THE FOOTAGE I used the app in shot to edit my footage I started by assembling the footage in the editing app it became clear pretty quick I had over estimated or under estimated the length of a few scenes so to adjust I decided to make a few scenes longer or shorter. for example I was expecting the length of the 2nd scene (the child drawing scene ) to be longer but it fell 10 to 15 seconds shorter than expected so I adjusted that by editing the 3rd scene to be 10 to 15 seconds longer than estimated.  TRANSITION  To make the child character vanish , Doing an  effect or making the character disappear like smoke was my original plan but it was completely out of my expertise. MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION SHOOTING (Image was generated by ai) SCENE 1 Scene one was shot in the room it was rehearsed before hand so figuring out the angles wasn't hard. lighting was really tricky though we only wanted natural light in the music video but with the natural light the room looked dull but adjusting the brightness of the camera and movie the curtains a bit helped in shooting the first scene.  To make the child character disappear we first thought we could make the child disappear in editing with effects and we could shoot 2 shots and overlap them later on but that proved to be difficult so we decided to do change angles to make the character disappear in a transition.  On Set The scene where the girl is standing infront of the window was very tricky to film since the lip sync needed to match with the transition to the next scene perfectly it took us around 11 tries to get it just right first we thought we could attach the whole to the video of filming but then we wo...

PRELIMINARY  In my preliminaries I want to show my character in different relationships (friendships / romantic) to show the troubled and unfair relationships my character has been in the relationships are one sided where my character gives most of the energy and time and others don't leaving my character all alone. My character is sad and desperate to have a relationship where she feels loved and wanted .
